As far as film fest imbibing goes, a lot has changed in the nearly 40 years since Hollywood first arrived in Hogtown for the inaugural Festival of Festivals. In 1976, the city was still home to a dry neighbourhood and maintained its "Toronto the Good" reputation with a 1 a.m. last call.

Today, film-loving locals and industry professionals don't only clamour for seats at screenings, but also spots at top cocktail bars where the drinks are as good as the people watching and select venues stay open until 4 a.m. On the whole, Toronto's cocktail scene continues to explode, but the addition of exclusive parties and celebrity gifting lounges staffed by master mixologists will ensure that A-listers (and even some Bs and Cs) have no shortage of options for toasting TIFF.

Here's what – and where – they'll be drinking.
