Our copy of The Lost Symbol landed today, under such a tight embargo that only two or three or four newspapers in the United States were able to review it on Monday. We Canadian newspapers, we play by the rules.
Anyway, I was perusing it and noticed that Dan Brown italicizes at least one sentence or word on pretty much every single page of the book. This makes the sentences stand out in a way that allows the reader to form them into found poetry. Hence, four poems for your enjoyment, by Dan Brown:
Someone left a mannequin hand in the Rotonda? Freaky Of course, people see in those symbols all kinds of crazy ideas Our untapped potential is truly shocking
Not many slackers in the Soloman clan I hope he's okay
Peter has a private room in the basement of the Capitol? Sanctuary and answers Sanctuary and answers
Tell me now or die! Open the lid! Do not breathe! Is it that simple?
