Munro’s Books was founded more than 50 years ago by the late Jim Munro and his then-wife, Nobel Prize-winner, Alice Munro. Mr. Munro handed ownership of the eponymous shop to four employees in 2014.

“Our bestselling title so far this month is Claws of the Panda by Jonathan Manthorpe (Cormorant Books),” Walker said. “Manthorpe’s book about the troubling relationship between Canada and the Chinese government is extremely topical at the moment, and has generated a lot of interest in Victoria, which is home to many who have worked in government or international relations.”
