Just the right amount of violence, perhaps, but not the right amount of balance. There are two films duelling for airtime in Danish director Jon Bang Carlsen's strange but heartfelt documentary. The first is his sad story of paternal abandonment when he was a child, and the unfillable emotional void that created. The second is the work performed by so-called interventionists, men retained by parents at wits' end to effectively kidnap their troubled, drug-addicted teenage sons and daughters and escort them to behavioural rehabilitation centres in Utah. Despite some jarring notes, the film raises important questions.
