In pictures: Peter O'Toole, 1932-2013
Perhaps best known for his seminal title-role performance in David Lean's Lawrence of Arabia, the rakish O'Toole was a prodigiously talented actor who also developed a reputation for his high-spirited off-screen antics. He gave up drinking in 1975, but not his hell-raising.
