Johnny Kidd (of the buccaneering proto-rockers Johnny Kidd and the Pirates) used to get quivers down his backbone, the shakes in his thigh bone and the shivers in his knee bone.
In short, he was Shakin' All Over. Doctors now would probably suspect hypothermia or perhaps a rheumatoid condition, but back at the turn of the sixties, who knew?
Fast-forward to 2014 and we have Benjamin Booker, a young rocker and a real good roller from New Orleans.
His debut single is Violent Shiver, a rough-and-tough, three-chord party-starter with a punk-blues accelerant and a few tasty retro-R&B licks for kicks. Warning: Not to be confused with the Alabama Shakes, a related and compatible condition.
