Luluc

When you're weary, feeling small, and when tears are in your eyes, Luluc will dry them all.

On their debut international release, the gentle, pacifying wash of Simons and Garfunkels and Great Lake Swimmers is what the Australian folk duo of Zoe Randell and Steve Hassett does.

There is a kitty cat on the album cover, the acoustic sounds dapple and trickle, and why weren't these guys involved with the Inside Llewyn Davis soundtrack?

The instrumentation is sparse and lovely; the wimps will quietly go wild with this. There's intricacy within the softness, though. The stylish, restrained touches make the songs about daydream reflections and airplane-window views worth listening to much more than once. Troubled waters need bridges and souls need lullabies – Luluc is catnip for the Zoloft set.
