Fleetwood Mac confirms rumours, sets tour dates for 2013

"It's the perfect time to go back out," songstress Stevie Nicks told Rolling Stone. "2013 is going to be the year of Fleetwood Mac."

After much speculation, the Rumours band will reunite for a tour next year. Concert dates revealed Monday include seven Canadian arena dates, including Toronto (April 16) and Ottawa (April 23), with a Western swing hitting Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver in mid-May.

Fleetwood Mac last toured in 2009, when its Unleashed jaunt grossed $54.5-million. As was the case with that trek, a new album will not be involved. Nicks did tell Rolling Stone that she had cut two new tracks with her former paramour, the singer-guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. "I had a really good time working with him for four days at his house," she said. "We're pretty proud of what we have done, and we're looking at it through the eyes of wisdom now, instead of through the eyes of jealousy and resentment and anger."

Former member Christine McVie did not tour in 2009, and there is no indication that the Don't Stop singer will interrupt her retirement in 2013. The tour starts in Columbus, Ohio on April 4th; tickets for Canadian concerts go on sale Dec. 17, 10 a.m., through Ticketmaster.
