It's a wide open race for Juno glory this year: City and Colour, Dan Mangan, Drake, Feist, Hedley and Nickelback lead the nominations with four apiece.

Close behind with three nods each are Avril Lavigne, Deadmau5 and Michael Buble.

CTV announced the nominations this morning, while also revealing that Star Trek icon William Shatner will host the show, to be held April 1 in Ottawa.

Picking Shatner to oversee the awards is a generational shift from last year, when the show was helmed by Toronto rapper Drake.

Feist, Deadmau5, Nickelback and City & Colour are among the scheduled performers.
