This week, designs for the third and final stage of Manhattan's sublime High Line were unveiled, including a transparent 'cultural shed' by the powerhouse architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro. The elevated public park has been key to the transformation of the Meatpacking District and Chelsea from dodgy neighbourhoods to the envy of urbanists around the world.
