REALITY Property Virgins HGTV, 7:30 p.m. Where was Sandra Rinomato when I bought my first house? The kindhearted real-estate veteran is both therapist and financial adviser for people buying their first homes in this popular series. Tonight, she takes on the case of Kristen and Michael, high-school sweethearts who are finally getting married. The lovebirds have wearied of their small one-bedroom apartment and are looking for a house, but the competitive Toronto real-estate market has left them reeling. Ms. Rinomato takes the couple under her wing and teaches them the fine art of compromise.
REALITY Extreme Couponing TLC, 9 p.m. Who's ready to clip coupons? This concept focusing on consumers who find their own unbelievable bargains first aired last December as an hour-long special that earned more than two-million U.S. viewers. Now comes the inevitable series, which will likely be around for years. In the first episode, a lady named J'aime shows viewers how to get $2,000 worth of groceries for less than $100. In the second show, Jessica shows how she creates big savings when spending $600 on groceries. Of course she has to go to 18 different stores, but that's the name of the game.
DRAMA Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour CBS, CTV, 10 p.m. FBI profiler Sam Cooper (Forest Whitaker) tackles an imposing case in Oklahoma City in tonight's new outing. Three male victims, all matching the identical physical description, are found within a 24-hour period. Cooper and his Red Cell team are called in to investigate before the spree killer strikes again. The episode guest-stars veteran character actor William Sanderson, who plays Sheriff Bud Dearborne on True Blood, as an Okie factory worker.Cliff Lipson
MOVIE Band of Angels TCM, 10:30 p.m. ET; 7:30 p.m. PT Directed by Raoul Walsh, this 1957 period piece features a remarkable performance by the Vancouver-born actress Yvonne De Carlo. The raven-haired beauty plays Amantha, a privileged young woman living in Kentucky prior to the Civil War. When her doting widower father dies, she learns that her family is penniless and that her mother was actually a black slave. Amantha is sold into slavery herself and bought by the Louisiana plantation owner Hamish Bond (Clark Gable). Don't expect the usual romantic denouement to this story.
