Grace Lynn Kung plays JoJo Kwan on "InSecurity."

Grace Lynn Kung is completely secure in her career and her TV choices. Currently stealing scenes as the tough JoJo Kwan on InSecurity, the Ottawa-born actress has previously made her presence felt in such films as Away from Her and One Week and in TV series like Slings and Arrows and Being Erica. On top of that, she recently completed her first year of studies in natural medicine and nutritional therapy in London. Kung is selective in her TV viewing, but faithfully makes time for these three favourites.

Cast mates recommended this show to me. The actors seem to have carte blanche, which is breeding ground for some brave comedy. The paintball and Halloween episodes are classics. Stay for the end credits, you won't regret it!

Blackadder

This BBC show is amazing because it was nearly canned after the first season. Creators boldly flipped the main duo's dynamic and turned Rowan Atkinson's character from bumbling to bombastic. Stephen Fry, Rik Mayall and a pre- House Hugh Laurie are more reasons to watch.

Departures

If I weren't doing what I'm doing, I would do what these guys do. Childhood best buds Scott and Justin cover all degrees of longitude and latitude. The show visuals are like a slick magazine; the cinematography is so easy it feels like there's no frame. Down to earth, inspiring and a bit cheeky.

InSecurity airs Mondays at 8:30 p.m. on CBC-TV.
