This time, Titanic has hit an iceberg before even setting sail.

Producers David Mirvish and Barry and Fran Weissler announced Wednesday that they will be postponing their new production of the Tony Award-winning musical about the sinking of the RMS Titanic.

Maury Yeston and Peter Stone's musical was originally scheduled to have a Toronto run this July and August before transferring to New York, but the producers have changed plans "due to the lack of availability of an appropriate Broadway theatre for the show in the 2014-15 season", according to a press release.

Titanic was one of seven shows scheduled for the Mirvish 2014-2015 subscription season; a replacement show will be announced soon.
