Jeff Gray is The Globe and Mail’s Toronto City Hall reporter. He has worked at The Globe since 1998. He spent six years as the law reporter in The Globe’s Report on Business, covering Bay Street law firms and writing about fraud, insider trading and corporate tax avoidance. He won an honourable mention at the 2010 National Magazine Awards in the investigative reporting category for an article in Report on Business Magazine. He was previously posted to Toronto City Hall from 2004 to 2009, when he also wrote a column about Toronto’s transportation problems. In 2000, he was among the first reporters to work on The Globe’s first breaking-news website. He has also worked for the BBC’s website and reported for The Globe from London.
