From the IndyCar races at Exhibition Place to Jays games at the Rogers Centre and ongoing repair work, Toronto will be tricky to navigate this weekend.
Honda Indy Toronto road closures have already started and will be in effect until late Sunday night. Lake Shore Boulevard will be closed from Strachan to British Columbia Road for the IndyCar races.
There will also be delays on Lake Shore Blvd. around Leslie St., Cherry St. Dan Leckie Way, Park Lawn, and Bathurst St. for various maintenance and repairs. Check toronto.ca for more details.
Work also continues on the Gardiner Expressway, with the usual delays expected.
Katy Perry fans will be flocking to the Air Canada Centre for concerts on Friday, Saturday and Monday nights. (July 18-21, 2014).
The Live Green Toronto Festival will keep cars off Yonge Street between Queen and Gould Streets all day Saturday, July 19. The even runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the road closure extending beyond those hours.
The Toronto Blue Jays are playing three home games this weekend against the Texas Rangers, so expect extra traffic around the Rogers Centre Friday night (Game starts at 7:07 p.m.) and Saturday and Sunday afternoons (Both start at 1:07 p.m.)
Salsa dancers will shut down St. Clair West from Winona Drive to Christie, noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The Toronto Chinatown Festival takes place all weekend, starting at noon on Saturday until 8 p.m. Sunday. Dundas West will be closed between Spadina Ave and Beverley Street, and Huron St. between D'Arcy St. and Dundas West. Ongoing repair work at Spadina Avenue and Dundas West continues during the festival.
