2013 Jaguar XF Jaguar Jaguar

AT JAGUAR

2013 XF sedan: Here, the story is about power and how it hits the pavement. A 240-hp, 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine (bought from Ford) gets a combined fuel economy of 8.9 litres/100 km. Meanwhile, a 340-hp, supercharged, 3.0-litre V-6 engine arrives and gets a combined 9.8 litres/100 km. Buyers can get what Jaguar calls "Instinctive All-Wheel Drive" with the new V-6. The new auto stop/start system will be available, too. All models get the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and a new premium audio system from Meridian is being introduced.

2013 Jaguar XJ Jaguar Jaguar

2013 XJ: The 3.0-litre, 340 hp supercharged V-6 engine is paired with AWD for 2013, while the supercharged 5.0-litre V-8 continues – putting out 470 hp and 510 hp, depending on the model. All AJs get the XF eight-speed automatic transmission. The XJ is now also available with AWD and the new sound system.

AT LAND ROVER

2013 Range Rover: The 2013 Range Rover Supercharged starts at $114,650 and is now the brand's flagship. The new Range Rover has been re-done from the ground up. Largely aluminum, it is lighter, stronger and more refined – the V-8 model is 250 kg lighter, in fact. The cabin is more spacious, the design more aerodynamic and the all-terrain system has been improved, says the company.

2013 Land Rover LR2 Land Rover Land Rover

2013 Land Rover LR2: The big story here is pricing, though there is also a new engine, redesigned interior and revised bodywork. The base price is now $39,990. The 240-hp, 2.0-litre turbocharged engine replaces the 3.2-litre inline-six. There are new exterior design elements and the cabin has been vastly improved, including a new dashboard layout and a new centre console. There is now a standard seven-inch colour touch-screen and newly available are the Meridian surround sound system with 17 speakers, along with an optional voice-command system and rear-view camera with what Land Rover calls Hitch Assist to make hooking up a trailer an easier operation for one person.
