This is what you might call the "shoulder season," the early part of a new year when the new model year is in full swing, though dealers still have a few leftover vehicles from the previous model year.
That is, while we're in the 2011 model year, savvy buyers might still find 2010s kicking around, and at pretty decent discount. The 2010 Lexus ES 350 premium sedan is an example. If you can find one, Lexus Canada has a $4,000 factory-to-dealer cash discount on this popular executive model.
This week at Deals, we're also interested in the whopping big discounts on the 2011 Cadillac Escalade. We estimate a hard-driving buyer might be able to negotiate discounts up to around $14,000. We've also looked at deals on the 2011 Honda CR-V crossover and the 2010 Wrangler Unlimited. Note that the 2011 Wrangler Unlimited has been mildly updated, therefore there are differences between it and the 2010.
