It's been a very busy summer and it has ended well. On September 1, we launched the first Globe Investor app for iPhone featuring our Watchlist tool. You can download it free.
The foundation of our new app is Canada's most authoritative business and investment news from The Globe and Mail's Report on Business. After selecting an article to read, you can share it with friends or colleagues using Twitter, Facebook or email, as well as "star" your favourite articles to read later. You can also download major breaking news to read if you're going to be off line during your commute or while traveling.
We know how important is it to keep a close eye on your investments while you are on the go. The My Watchlist tool in the app seamlessly lets you track the securities you're interested in across the web and all your mobile devices -- changes made on the app or on the web, like creating multiple lists, will be instantly synced on all devices and computers you might be using. The display of your lists is also fully customizable from a selection 40 data columns.
You'll have access to a full menu of up-to-the minute market data optimized for the Canadian investor. The daily action of the TSX and benchmarks like the dollar, gold and oil are a snap to find, or you can drill deeper into the day's gainers, losers, new highs, new lows or most popular stocks. From anywhere in the app, you can access a stock quote using the universal search box that suggests stocks as you begin to type.
