We hope you've had a chance to create your new Globe Investor Portfolio and get familiar with the new layout and features available to Globe Unlimited subscribers. (Learn how to set up your portfolio here and watch a how-to video here.) Once you have added some holdings, you'll start to notice some key information and analysis appearing on your screen. Here's what you'll see:
Portfolio Vitals
At the top of the page, you'll find your portfolio's total current value, its one-day and one-month change, your total unrealized gains and losses and the name of your largest holding.
Your Equities Visualization
Underneath, you'll find a visualization of your equities' performance right now. Click anywhere in this area to expand the graphic visualization and learn more. The size of the circles represents the size of your holding in each company. Use the graphic for a quick understanding of the one-day performance of your investments. We hope you'll see a lot of green circles.
Performance Tables
Next, you'll see performance tables for your stocks and ETFs and, below that, funds. Click on any column heading to change the table and find more detailed information about each category. Click on the smaller column headings to sort the table by that column. Click on the arrow at the far right of each row to reveal a menu. Here you can view your transactions for each investment, buy and sell shares, or delete their holding.
Ideas & Insight for You
Here you'll find the latest news from The Globe and our affiliate news providers on the investments in your portfolio. Each story will have the ticker symbol for the investment mentioned in it next to the headline to help you see quickly how it's relevant to your portfolio.
ROI Chart
Next, you'll see a return on investment chart showing you your portfolio's performance since its inception.
Beside that, the Stock Reports + table shows you how the companies in your portfolio stack up to Thomson Reuters Stock Reports +.
Asset Allocation
The portfolio allocation section gives you a breakdown of the investments that make up your portfolio. Charts will show you your asset allocation and sectors. Looking for diversification? This area will give you a quick snapshot of how you're doing.
