Globe Watchlist alerts on an iPhone.

Update on Tuesday, 4 p.m.

Our websites, apps and data functioned normally today. We fixed the remaining closing prices issues caused by last week's outage.

Many of our readers have pointed out that they were having trouble finding their Portfolio and Stock Filter because of a new markets data box that we had placed at the top of the Globe Investor homepage. The new box didn't have the toolbox on the side. In response, we have reinstalled the old markets data box with the tool box, to make it easier to navigate.

Update as of Monday, 6:10 p.m. ET:

After rigorous testing, we are satisfied that today's market data is accurate and our websites and mobile apps are functioning properly.

As earlier mentioned, we have identified some inconsistencies with historical prices and data for about 30 thinly-traded penny stocks. This will be fixed at market open tomorrow.

We have identified some pricing errors caused by Friday's technical issues and will be investigating them further and fixing them on Tuesday. We will be continuing to monitor and investigate problems that may have been caused by last week's outage.

Update as of Monday, 1 p.m. ET:

We are continuing to test and monitor today's market data.  We have identified some minor inconsistencies with historical prices for about 25 commodities.  Prices have been updated and the charts are working properly again.

We are also seeing discrepancies with historical prices and data for about 30 thinly-traded penny stocks. We understand the issue now, and it will be fixed at market open tomorrow.

Everything else is presently working. All personal data for customers is intact and there is no security risk of any kind.

To repeat an earlier message today, we have heard numerous comments regarding the lack of communication from us during this site outage. Again, we would like to apologize for this and will be examining our communication protocol to learn from the events of the past few days.

Update as of Monday at 11:15 a.m. ET:

Stock-market data, the business and investing websites and apps have been restored and all features such as Watchlist, Portfolio and stock quotes have been re-enabled. We are in the final stages of verifying stock-market data integrity. We know there are remaining issues with a limited number of penny stocks and historical commodity prices. We will provide updates on those issues as soon as possible. All personal data for customers is intact and there is no security risk of any kind.

Data feeds, the finance websites and apps have been restored and all features such as Watchlist, Portfolio and stock quotes have been re-enabled. We are in the final stages of verifying data integrity. All personal data is intact and there is no security risk of any kind. Apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience with us.

Update as of Saturday at 6 p.m. ET:

Data feeds have been restored and  our team has been working to verify the integrity of the data on our finance websites and apps. We are seeing some discrepancies in stock prices for the previous day's close and associated values for EPS, PE and market capitalization. The team is continuing to work on resolving these issues and expects things to be fixed early Monday morning, well before the market opens. Until this time, Watchlist and stock quotes will remain unavailable on the Globe Investor website and mobile website.

Access to Portfolio, the Globe Investor app, Globe Investor Gold and Globe Advisor has been re-instated as of now. All data points have been validated, with the exception of the discrepancies noted above for the previous day's close. Thank you for your continued patience.

Service update on Friday, March 1:

We are currently experiencing technical issues with the data feeds on our finance websites and apps. This outage means Watchlist, Portfolio and stock quotes will be unavailable on the Globe Investor website and mobile website. The Globe Investor app for iPhone and BlackBerry will be missing information as well.

Globe Investor Gold and Globe Advisor are also affected. These sites have been temporarily re-directed to the main Globe and Mail website for access to breaking business news for now.

We are working to recover and restore full service as soon as possible and will provide updates as more details are available. We realize that many readers rely on this data and apologize for the inconvenience this outage may be causing.
