If you're new to investing - like me - there's an easy way to keep track of your stocks, funds and more.
It's called My Watchlist, and you'll find it in the Globe and Mail website.
No matter your age, or level of experience, My Watchlist makes it easy to create a personalized list of investments you can follow, all in one place.
Let me show you how it works.
The first thing you'll need to do is register. I've already done this, so I'm going to go ahead and show you how it works.
Click on the Globe Investor link, and then 'My Watchlist.'
Here you'll find three different categories - Stocks and ETFs, Funds and Commodities, Indexes in Currencies - all in one view.
To locate and add your securities to your list, simply use the orange search field.
With the auto-complete feature, finding your securities couldn't be easier. For example, say you have Canadian Tire stock, but don't know its TSX symbol. Just begin typing and the tool will do the rest. Once you find it, just click 'Add to Watchlist.'
It's as easy as that.
