Harlequin Enterprises Ltd., a subsidiary of Torstar Corp. , continues its expansion into international markets with a new Russian licensing agreement.

Izdatelstvo Centrepolygraph will get worldwide rights to publish Harlequin titles in the Russian language.

Centrepolygraph plans to release more than 170 titles in their first year, most under the Harlequin logo and trademark, Harlequin announced Monday.

Harlequin currently has licensees in 15 countries and has titles issued in 32 languages worldwide.

So far this year, the international publisher of books for women has opened an office in Turkey and acquired full ownership of their German operation.
