Homburg Canada REIT said Monday it has agreed to buy two office buildings in the Montreal and Quebec City areas for a total of $17 million.

The purchases of a two-storey office building in Longueuil and a four-storey office building in Levis will add about 113,259 square feet of new assets to the REIT's portfolio.

The transactions are expected to close by the end of June 2011.

Homburg REIT owns a portfolio of Canadian income-producing commercial properties in Quebec, Atlantic Canada, Western Canada and Ontario, consisting mainly of retail and office properties as well as some multi-family residential properties.
