For today's live discussion at Inside the Market, we're joined by Louise Morwick, who runs the SMI Opportunities LP hedge fund. The fund  (formerly Silvercreek Capital LP) had a remarkable 2012, with a return of 61.4 per cent, making it the best performing hedge fund in Canada.

She is betting on a U.S. market downturn, and is shorting technology and consumer discretionary stocks such as Lululemon.

Louise holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She has over 25 years of experience in the investment industry, including 18 years with hedge funds.
