Rob Arnott, one of the world's most respected financial analysts and biggest money managers, joined Inside the Market Tuesday for a one-hour live discussion on his latest market strategies. Mr. Arnott is responsible for managing or advising $150-billion (U.S.) of investors' money.

Mr. Arnott is chairman of Research Affiliates of California and manager of the five-star rated Pimco All Asset Fund. He pioneered several unconventional portfolio strategies that are now widely applied, including tactical asset allocation, global tactical asset allocation, tax-advantaged equity management, and the Fundamental Index approach to indexation.

His market-beating "fundamental indexing" strategy, which advises allocating money to stocks based on the economic well-being of the underlaying companies rather than by market capitalization, placed him on the cutting edge of investment thinking. Between 1984 and 2004, a study of 23 different markets found fundamental indexes triumphed consistently over cap-weighted MSCI indexed benchmarks.
