This week, we take a look at buying in New Gold Inc. Over the past 3 months, 4 directors have spent $5.6-million buying stock either through options or the public market. Pierre Lassonde has been the biggest buyer. Mr. Lassonde is a gold industry pioneer having established the first gold royalty trust three decades ago. He is a former chair of the World Gold Council and is current board chair of Franco Nevada. In May he bought 928,700 New Gold shares between the prices of $5.45 and $5.55.
