MDC Partners Inc. , which is trading at year lows, announced increased financial guidance for fiscal year 2012. It also announced today that it has acquired a significant minority interest in creative agency Doner, with the option to increase its stake to a majority interest at any time. The 600-person integrated agency has over $1-billion in billings.



Ballard Power Systems , which dropped nearly 3 per cent on Tuesday, announced a one-year extension of its equipment supply agreement with IdaTech, through 2013.



Ur-Energy Inc. reported a measured and indicated uranium resources increase of 45 per cent at its Lost Creek property.



An operations update from Calvalley Petroleum Inc. said optimization projects at the Hiswah field have increased crude oil production resulting in gross production volumes for the last five days of the quarter averaging approximately 5,800 bpd for Block 9.

Spartan Oil Corp. , which closed down yesterday by 2 per cent, announced today that its Board of Directors has approved an increase in the company's 2012 capital program to $127-million (previously $80-million). Encouraged by continued drilling success, Spartan will direct the increased capital towards its Cardium light oil development project at Keystone, in central Alberta.





Aurizon Mines Ltd. that was 5 per cent lower at yesterday's close announced today the results from the 2011 exploration program on the Rex South property in Nunavik, Northern Quebec. The program was successful in expanding the polymetallic discoveries of the Augossan trend.

Cantronic Systems Inc. , which was just above year lows yesterday, said that it has signed an agreement with the Chongqing subsidiary of Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Ltd. for the $1.2 -billion (U.S.) Safe City program in Chongqing, China. The agreement will allow Cantronic's Chinese subsidiary's flagship networked video management platform software to be used in the Safe City program in Chongqing.





CVTech Group Inc. today announced that its subsidiary, Thirau ltee, has been awarded several contracts with a total value of nearly $39-million. These contracts are mainly related to pole installation and the construction of electricity transmission lines in the province of Quebec.
