VoodooVox Inc. , which dropped 21 per cent at yesterday's close, announced today its financial results for the three months ended March 31, 2012. Revenues were $1-million compared to $1.1-million for first quarter of 2011. Net loss was $2.5-million, or $0.1 per share, compared to $1.7-million for the same period in 2012, $0.02 per share. Cash balance was $0.2-million compared to $0.4-million at Dec. 31, 2011.

Integra Gold Corp. , which was close to a year low of 18 cents yesterday, announced today that it has intersected numerous gold bearing zones as part of its Lamaque Property's No. 4 Plug definition drill program. The company has now completed more than 7,640 meters of drilling in 8 holes representing 50 per cent of its 2012 planned drill program on the No. 4 Plug.

TomaGold Corporation Inc. which closed down by 4 per cent yesterday announced today the acquisition of a direct property interest of 100 per cent of the 20 mining claims covering an area of 1,070 hectares.

Westaim Corporation , which was actively traded on the TSX with around 12 million shares changing hands yesterday, announced it recorded net income of $4.4-million or $0.01 per share for the first quarter compared to net income of $5.7-million or $0.01 per share a year earlier.

Connacher Oil and Gas Ltd reported a net loss of $20.6-million in the first quarter of 2012 compared to $14.1-million a year earlier, primarily due to higher depletion, depreciation and amortization and lower unrealized foreign exchange gains. Calvalley Petroleum Inc - its chief executive Edmund Shimoon this week was charged with insider trading by securities regulators - said earnings increased to $7.1-million, or $0.08 per share in the first quarter of 2012, from $4.1-million, or $0.04 per share in the first quarter of 2011, due to an increase in crude oil shipments.

Amorfix Life Sciences Ltd. , which fell 11 per cent and away from near year highs yesterday, announced that it has developed antibodies that selectively target and bind to misfolded fas receptor protein expressed on the cell surface of cancer cells.
