Romios Gold Resources Inc. announced the results from the analyses of the remainder of the drill core samples from the diamond drill program carried out during the month of August, 2011 on Romios' wholly-owned Dirk Property in the vicinity of Galore Creek in northwestern British Columbia.

Brazil-based Jaguar Mining Inc. , which has a listing in New York and Toronto, jumped nearly 50 per cent and hit its highest levels in around 15 months yesterday amid reports that it had received an offer of up to $1-billion (U.S.) from China's Shandong Gold Group, the parent of Shandong Gold Mining Co. Ltd. Shandong reportedly bid $9.30 for each Jaguar share, a premium of more than 70 per cent to Tuesday's close. Jaguar confirmed it has received "proposals over the past few weeks" and said it is exploring its options. There may be more upside for the stock if a bidding war starts or a Canadian entity decides to buy Jaguar for itself.

Lake Shore Gold Corp. rose nearly 7 per cent and was easily the most active on the TSX yesterday after announcing the completion of an initial National Instrument 43-101 resource estimate for the company's wholly owned Thunder Creek property located in Timmins, Ontario. It said the reported resource contains 521,600 contained ounces of gold in the Indicated category and 510,000 ounces Au in the Inferred category as outlined below.

Theralase Technologies Inc. announced today that it has launched a new version of the high performance Theralase TLC-1000 therapeutic medical laser series, known as the Theralase TLC-900 series, which effectively eliminates the controller and allows the practitioner to operate the laser probes independently. The company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets patented, superpulsed laser technology said the TLC-900 system allows the practitioner the ability to benefit from the high performance Theralase laser system technology.

Conifex Timber Inc. announced today that, through a wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the commodity lumber distribution business owned and operated by Welco Lumber Corp. and the transportation and logistics business owned and operated by Navcor Transportation Services Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, the company shall pay to Welco an aggregate of $1.6-million and the book value of certain specified inventory, as well as the payment of certain commissions for a period of three years following closing as specified in the agreement.

Canadian Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. , parent of XM Canada and Sirius Canada, announced today its financial results for the fourth quarter 2011. The company said its net loss for the quarter deepened to $3.5-million from the previous year's $2.6-million. This is despite the increase in revenues from $54.1-million to $61.4-million. Total subscribers rose to 1.98 million from 1.73 million, of which paying subscribers increased to 1.39 million from 1.21 million.

Environmental technology and consulting company Ridgeline Energy Services Inc. said today that it is in final stages of constructing its new Zero Impact water storage units, which will complement its existing waste water treatment systems or be installed as stand-alone systems. The company said that these storage units are part of its commitment to provide a comprehensive water management system to its clients in the oil and gas exploration and production industry.
