Rio Alto Mining Limited (RIO-T) that lost nearly 3 per cent yesterday announced today that its La Arena Gold Mine poured 58,081 ounces of gold during the three months ended June 30, 2012. Sales in the second quarter of 43,234 ounces of gold at an average realized price per ounce of $1,586 generated cash sales proceeds of $68.6-million.

Sandvine Corporation (SVC-T) that was down by a cent yesterday announced today a net loss of $4.2-million for the second quarter of 2012 on revenues of $18.6-million. This compares $1.7-million net income in the same period of last year. The company also received over $2-million in Network Policy Control orders from one of the top 10 telecom providers in the United States.

Miranda Gold Corp. (MAD-X) announced drill results from its Pavo Real project in Colombia. Significant intercepts are values of 0.010 oz Au/t (0.343 g Au/t) or better. MAD closed at 27 cents, just 3 cents above year lows.

SilverCrest Mines Inc. (SVL-X) that was down nearly 5 per cent yesterday announced today that the Santa Elena Mine expansion remains on schedule, targeting a 100 per cent increase in metal production commencing in 2014.

DNO International ASA, the Norwegian oil and gas company, announced that it intends to make an all-cash offer, through an acquisition entity, to acquire Calgary-based Calvalley Petroleum Inc. (CVI.A-T) at a price of $2.30 per Class A common share.

CaNickel Mining Ltd. (CML-T) reported that the stop work order imposed on the company's 100 per cent owned Bucko Lake Nickel Mine has been lifted. However, due to the unfavourable nickel price, the company decided to put Bucko Lake Nickel Mine on temporary care and maintenance. The company also advised that Dr. Dianmin Chen will resign as CEO effective July 17, 2012 due to personal reason and Chairman Wenfeng Liu will assume the role of Interim Executive Officer.

Tiger Resources Limited (TGS-T) announced high-grade results from a diamond drilling (DD) programme at Kileba, a deposit within the boundaries of the company's Kipoi Copper Project mining licence area (PE 533) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Marathon Gold Corp. (MOZ-T) said shortly before the close of trading Thursday the Supreme Court of British Columbia has approved the company's acquisition of all of the outstanding common shares of Mountain Lake Resources (MOA-V). Its stock lost near 5 per cent yesterday.
