It's not easy being a young Canadian. Education is increasingly expensive, and employment prospects are dim. Under the circumstances, it's hard to think about buying a first house, paying off debts or starting a savings plan.

On Wednesday at noon (ET), Globe and Mail personal finance columnist Rob Carrick took readers' questions about student debt, savings plans, buying a home and all the responsibilities that come as you're starting out in life. Rob has been writing about personal finance, business and economics for close to 20 years and is the author of How Not to Move Back in With Your Parents: The Young Person's Guide to Financial Empowerment.
