Stop talking down to Gen Y

Preaching sacrifice and savings to young adults as the way to financial success is ignorant, this sizzling blog post says. For one thing, they have a right to enjoy their lives. For another, conventional financial advice doesn't fit the reality where today's young people live. Note: Unlike the author of this blog post, I don't dismiss the benefits of young adults trying to save money.

And now for another take on the Gen Y demographic. It's an on-the-money rant over a Tide commercial where a mother complains about doing the laundry for adult triplets who have moved home. Conclusion: Adult kids living at home should look after their own basic needs.
