A lot of the things we believe about the uber-wealthy just aren't true. For example, they didn't all inherit their money, and they don't all own private jets and yachts.

How are wealthy people investing these days? Very cautiously. In fact, they're showing a preference for cash over big bets on stocks or bonds.

Retiring on a low income
