Canada's largest trucking company, TransForce Inc. , says its second-quarter profit has increased, helped by revenue from its recent acquisitions.
The Montreal-based company posted net income of $26.2-million, or 27 cents per share for the three month period.
That compares to $17-million, or 18 cents per share, a year ago.
Revenue was up 31 per cent to $650.8-million from $496.9-million.
The company says results were helped by the acquisition of Dynamex Inc. in February and the assets of Speedy Heavy Hauling Inc. last summer.
Together, the two acquisitions added combined revenues of about $140-million.
