Crius Energy Trust (KWH.UN-T) reported revenue of US$284.8-million in the fourth quarter, an increase from US$248.5-million in the fourth quarter of 2017. Analysts were expecting revenue of US$261.9-million. Net income of US$1.7-million in the fourth quarter compared to a net income of US$36-million in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Alcanna Inc. (CLIQ-T) reported Canadian same-store sales growth of 7.4 per cent in the fourth quarter and U.S. same-store sales growth of 6 per cent. “This was the company’s best quarter of same-store sales growth in six years,” the company stated.

Total sales were $190.9-million versus $171-million a year ago. Analysts were expecting revenue of $173.7-million. Its net loss was $151.3-million or $4.08 per share versus a loss of $1-million or 4 cents a year earlier. Its adjusted earnings came in at $873,000 or 2 cents versus $874,000 or 3 cents per share a year ago.

The North West Company Inc. (NWC-T) announced a quarterly dividend of 33 cents per share, an increase of a penny or 3.1 per cent.

Fourth-quarter sales increased by 7.1 per cent to $532.5-million. Analysts were expecting revenue of $534.4-million. Net earnings attributable to shareholders were $13-million or 27 cents per share compared to 31 cents per share a year ago.

AutoCanada Inc. (ACQ-T) said fourth-quarter revenues totaled $782.8-million, up 6.8 per cent from a year earlier. Same-store revenue declined 3 per cent, the company stated. Its net loss attributable to AutoCanada shareholders came in at $26.9-million or 98 cents versus a profit of $8.9-million or 62 cents a year ago. Adjusted earnings came in at a loss of 34 cents compared to a profit of 33 cents a year earlier. Analysts were expecting adjusted earnings of 18 cents and revenue of $770.5-million.

Frontera Energy Corp. (FEC-T) announced it has acquired 101.3 milllion common shares of CGX Energy Inc. (OYL-X) in connection with a recent rights offering. The aggregate purchase price for the Common Shares was $25.3-million or 25 cents per share.

Hardwoods Distribution Inc. (HDI-T) said fourth-quarter sales increased 10.2 per cent to $275-million, from $249.5-million during the same period a year ago and ahead of expectations of $266.2-million. Profit increased 18.9 per cent to $5.9-million or 27 cents per share, from $4.9-million or 23 cents a year earlier.

IPL Plastics Inc. (IPLP-T) reported fourth-quarter revenue increased by 21.4 per cent to US$162-million versus a year earlier. Its net loss was US$1.8-million versus a profit of US$5.5-million a year ago. Adjusted earnings per share were 11 cents up from 3 cents a year ago. Analysts were expecting revenue of $151.7-million and adjusted EPS of 6 cents.

IPL Plastics also announced plans to acquire Loomans Group N.V. for US$85.5 million, financed by existing cash resources and credit facilities.

Continental Gold Inc. (CNL-T) announced that it has obtained a US$175-million financing package from Newmont Mining Corp. (NEM-N) and a US$100 million gold and silver stream from Triple Flag Mining Finance Bermuda Ltd.

The company said proceeds from the financing package will be used "for general and working capital purposes and toward construction, commissioning and start-up" of its Buriticá Project in Colombia.
