Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley says one more drink could kill him.

As reported by The New York Daily News, the Canadian-born musician and ex-husband of Avril Lavigne was spotted out in Los Angeles on Monday looking extremely frail.

In the photograph with the Daily News article, Whibley looks far older than his real age of 34 and is being assisted on a walk by his fiancée Jocelyn Aguilar and another unidentified woman.

The Whibley sighting took place three days after the singer's shocking admission on his personal website that he recently spent a month in the hospital due to his longtime struggles with alcohol.

According to Whibley's post, "The reason I got so sick is from all the hard boozing I've been doing over the years. It finally caught up with me."

In his own words: "I was drinking hard every day. Until one night. I was sitting at home, poured myself another drink around midnight and was about to watch a movie when all of a sudden I didn't feel so good."

What happened next: "I then collapsed to the ground unconscious. My fiancé got me rushed to the hospital where they put me in the intensive care unit."

Once in the hospital, Whibley said the attending physicians informed him that his kidneys and liver had collapsed.

"Needless to say it scared me straight," Whibley told fans on his website. "I finally realized I can't drink any more. If I have one more drink the docs say I will die."

Whibley closed off his statement on a cautionary note: "I'm not preaching or anything but just drink responsibly. I didn't, and look where it got me."
