Lady Gaga is rolling in style with a new gold-plated wheelchair while recovering from hip surgery.

According to The New York Post, the eclectic singer commissioned New York designer Ken Borochov to create the wheelchair, which is reportedly entirely plated in 24-carat gold and lined with leather. The chair also boasts a removable leather canopy and multispoked wheels with a fully reclining seat in the event Gaga wants to take a nap.

Sporting a shimmering gown and a Mathieu Mirano jacket, Gaga allowed celebrity lensman Terry Richardson to photograph her in the chair. The singer recently cancelled the remainder of her Born This Way Ball tour to undergo surgery for a labral tear in her right hip. The chair's creator says Gaga's request to create the customized ride came as a surprise.

"I certainly wasn't expecting that phone call," Borochov told the Post. "I have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen."

Although this was Borochov's first time designing a wheelchair, he has worked closely with Gaga before. Working under the uber-hip Mordekai label, the designer created an elaborate crown for the singer last year as well as a golden claw she wore for an appearance at Harrods department store. His other clients include singers Cher Lloyd, Nicki Minaj and Kanye West.
