LIGHTS, CAMERA, SELFIE!
How long would you wait to snap the perfect selfie? The art exhibition titled I Who Have Arrived in Heaven is currently drawing lineups of people willing to wait eight hours in order to strike a pose amid the glittering lights. Only one patron at a time is allowed into the exhibit's Infinity Mirrored Room, and each person has 45 seconds to take their picture and leave. The exhibit by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama at New York's David Zwirner Gallery runs until Dec. 21.

DOUBLING UP
If you're excited about seeing Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, keep in mind that you nearly had to line up for two movies. According to comic actor David Koechner, who plays rowdy sportscaster Champ Kind in the franchise, the long-awaited sequel to the 2004 comedy Anchorman was almost split into two separate films: "At one point, we were lobbying for the director to Kill Bill it," said Koechner. "Cut it in two. Give them everything."

PANDA PRIZES
Twitter users in Vancouver recently had a new reason to ramp up tweeting. The Canadian telecommunications company Telus installed a mall vending machine that gives away stuffed animals in exchange for tweets. Over a six-day period in early December, the machine dispensed 3000 stuffed pandas to people who tweeted #HomeTweetHome. Telus also gave one dollar to the WWF Canada with each tweet posted with the same hashtag.

BIG EYES
Does Disney go too far when it comes to magnifying gender differences between male and female characters? Sociology professor Philip N. Cohen of the University of Maryland has made the rather unsettling observation that the female heroine in the recent Disney animated feature Frozen has petite wrists that are much smaller than her expressive Bambi-like eyes. Cohen also points out that in most Disney movies, the men's wrists are normally three or four times larger than women's wrists.

LOVE GAMES
Are you getting ready to pop the big question this Christmas Eve? A new U.K. survey has revealed that the night before Christmas ranks first place as the most popular day of the year to propose, notching 32 per cent of the vote. Strangely, the survey also revealed that six per cent of respondents believed Halloween was the most romantic night to propose.

SNOOZE BUTTON
Given the choice between good times and sack time, Canadians prefer to sleep. A new poll reveals that most Canadians would rather get a good night's sleep than go out to party. Based on a telephone survey of more than 700 adults, the poll showed that two-thirds of respondents opted for sleeping instead of going out to socialize with friends. The same poll also revealed that people said they went into work feeling tired either every day (15 per cent) or most days (11 per cent).
