Paris Jackson was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday morning following what is believed to be a suicide attempt.

According to TMZ, the only daughter of late pop icon Michael Jackson was taken out of her Calabasas family home on a stretcher at roughly 2 A.M. Pacific Time and transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Jackson's biological mother, Debbie Rowe, confirmed the suicide attempt to Entertainment Tonight and said her daughter was currently resting in a Los Angeles hospital. Rowe reportedly told an ET reporter that Jackson has had "a lot going on [lately]."

"We appreciate everyone's thoughts for Paris at this time and their respect for the family's privacy," an attorney for Rowe said in a statement.

A source close to the Jackson family told CNN: "She's going to be okay." Sources also told CNN it was unclear why she was hospitalized.

Paris and her brother, Prince, are among witnesses expected to testify in her late father's wrongful death trial.

On Tuesday evening, Paris, 15, went on Twitter to post several cryptic tweets, including, "I wonder why tears are salty?" She also posted a portion of The Beatles song Yesterday including the lyric, "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay."

Rowe turned over full custody of the children to Jackson as part of their divorce but she had recently rekindled her relationship with Paris.
