Did Kim Kardashian and Kanye West really name their new daughter Kaidence Donda West?

That's the name according to Media Takeout, who reportedly got the scoop from a nurse at L.A.'s Cedars Sinai Hospital, where Kardashian gave birth last Saturday five weeks before her scheduled due date. The same unnamed hospital worker also described the child as "gorgeous…just like her mama," according to the website.

Although Kardashian and West haven't confirmed the unusual name, there's some logic to the report. Donda was the name of West's late mother, who passed away suddenly in late 2007 from complications during cosmetic surgery.

The child's alleged first name Kaidence, meanwhile, is an obvious spin off the word "cadence" and would seem to be in keeping with the father's musical bent. According to Webster's, cadence is defined as "a modulation or inflection of the voice" (notwithstanding Auto Tune, of course).

And while Kardashian is reportedly quietly recovering from giving birth to baby Kaidence, this is turning out to be a busy week for West. On Tuesday, the rapper released his new album, Yeezus, which is receiving less-than-favourable reviews from most media outlets.
