Today's burning celebrity question: Are Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez back together or not?

Both the entertainment media and countless lovestruck young females need to know whether the Canadian pop star and his pop princess are officially a couple again.

Although Bieber and Gomez ended their once-inseparable relationship more than a year ago, recent sightings of them engaging in lovey-dovey behaviour in recent weeks has people speculating that they may have secretly reunited.

Allow us rewind the most recent events.

March 3: Bieber went on Twitter to share a picture of Gomez taken at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. His caption: "Most elegant princess in the world."

March 7: Bieber bristles at a deposition in Miami (in connection to his bodyguard being accused of assaulting a photographer) during which lawyers repeatedly asked him about his relationship with Gomez.

"Don't ask me about her again," snapped Bieber – six times.

Within hours of his deposition testimony, Bieber flew directly to McAllen, Tex. – his former lady love's home state.

According to witnesses, Bieber and Gomez had breakfast at a local Starbucks and went perfume shopping. Bieber allegedly purchased two brands of men's cologne: Obsession by Calvin Klein and Givenchy's Pour Homme.

March 9: Still in Texas, Bieber attended the South By Southwest event in Austin and even managed to dedicate a song to his on-again, off-again girlfriend.

Bieber gave a surprise performance at the end of a concert at Banger's Sausage House and Beer Garden, which began with him telling the crowd, "This next song goes out to my baby."

Bieber then launched into an acoustic version of his 2012 hit As Long As You Love Me.

Soon after, he tweeted, "Fun taking the stage with all the other acts. Great people. Had to do a little acoustic set myself. Maybe I should do another one?" (Biebs can be such a tease sometimes).

Immediately following his impromptu set, Bieber and Gomez were spotted together in the audience – "Sitting together, hanging out and very friendly together," according to an Us Weekly source.

March 10: And now the romantic overture that has everyone talking: Via Instagram, Bieber shared a video featuring Gomez and himself at a McAllen dance studio practising their moves in front of a mirror to the John Legend song Ordinary People.

In the original Instagram clip, Bieber is shirtless with big baggy shorts and Gomez wears dance gear as the pair get physical with each other. At one point, he pins her against the wall provocatively and she wraps her legs around him. Hubba-hubba.

Sadly, by Tuesday morning, the video had been removed, presumably by Bieber, although not before hundreds of Instagram users had already created GIFs of the steamy pas de deux.

None of which, of course, provides substantive evidence that Bieber and Gomez are a couple again, but their public canoodling of late certainly has people talking.

And should Bieber get too carried away with his current rekindled romance, he might want to remember the marital advice given to him by Oprah a few years ago.
