Katy Perry took sharing with fans to the next level with a painful-looking video of her recent nose-piercing.

As reported by People, the Dark Horse singer had people cringing over the weekend with a video of a long needle going through her nose to her Instagram account.

In the 10-second clip, you can hear Perry exclaiming, "Owww" as the piercer performs his grisly task.

Perry's caption for the clip: "Last time I did this I was on my own with a safety pin & cubes of ice @13. This time I thought it was best I left to the pro's. Sorry mom (again)."

Perry dished the details of her teen self-piercing efforts during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2012.

But before Perry gets carried away with piercing she may want to consider the recent case of German citizen Rolf Buchholz – who has more than 100 facial piercings – being denied entry to Dubai.

Although Buchholz was booked to appear at a circus-themed nightclub in Dubai last week, he was allegedly refused entry into the country by airport authorities citing "security reasons."

Of course, it's also worth noting that the heavily tattooed Buchholz also has faux horn implants on his forehead.

"I have two horns," he told Associated Press. "I think that was also a problem for me in Dubai."
