LOUIS-DREYFUS'S #CRACKEXCUSE

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has taken the 'drunken stupor' defence to explain her nude presence on the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Photographed by celebrity lensman Mark Seliger, the cover photo shows the 53-year-old Veep star in the buff with a temporary tattoo of the U.S. Constitution adorning her back. Yesterday, Louis-Dreyfus tweeted, "In my defence, I was in a drunken stupor #crackexcuse." Inside the issue, which calls her "the First Lady of Comedy," the ex-Seinfeld fixture reflects on her three-decade career and talks about the difficulty facing women in Hollywood. "There is sexism – I'm not denying its existence," she says. "But I'm saying that I will deny its effort against me."

TACKY TITLE

Scarlett Johansson does not want to be referred to as "ScarJo." In her new interview with Glamour magazine, the 28-year-old actress says she's never been enamoured with the tabloid moniker assigned to her shortly after her breakout role in the 2003 film Lost in Translation. "I associate [ScarJo] with, like, pop stars," says Johansson, who is expecting her first child with fiancée Romain Dauriac. "It sounds tacky. It's lazy and flippant … And there's something violent about it. There's something insulting about it."

BUTT SERIOUSLY

The most talked-about posterior on the planet just got a little more famous with the release of a new set of Kim Kardashian swimsuit photos. The 33-year-old reality star and new mother displays her derrière to full effect in the series of photographs taken last month on a Thailand beach. In the past week, Kardashian has also posted on Instagram several videos of herself emerging from the water wearing a two-piece swimsuit. Kardashian's soon-to-be husband, rapper Kanye West, makes pointed reference to her caboose in his new single I Won, in which he says he wants to dip it in gold.

Both films are scheduled to land in theatres on May 6, 2016. "At this time, we are not considering a change of date for Batman vs. Superman," said Warner Bros. president of domestic distribution Dan Fellman. Although the two movies will arrive simultaneously in the United States, Batman vs. Superman will open a week earlier in Britain.

SMALL CHANGE

Mickey Rooney may have been the biggest movie star in the world back in the thirties, but his estate is reportedly worth only $18,000 (U.S.). In the late actor's will, which went public on Tuesday, Rooney completely disinherited his estranged wife Jan – the eighth of his eight wives – and left his modest estate to stepson Mark Aber and his wife. Rooney passed away on April 6 at the age of 93.

Expect a lot more Game of Thrones in the foreseeable future. HBO has announced the renewal of the popular medieval fantasy series for a fifth and sixth season. The sixth season of Thrones, which returned for its fourth campaign this past Sunday night to record ratings, would make its debut in late 2015. Producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss recently said they have no plans to extend the story beyond a seventh season. "Seven gods, seven kingdoms, seven seasons. It feels right to us," said Benioff.
