Miley Cyrus may be running out of ways to shock the world, but that doesn't mean she's going to stop trying. Following much-publicized behaviour that includes twerking and appearing naked in a music video, the 21-year-old pop star was performing at a concert in Tacoma, Wash., on the weekend (after kicking off her tour in Vancouver) when an overzealous fan threw a pair of underwear on-stage. A pair of red thong underwear, to be precise. Instead of stepping over the fan offering or throwing it back, Ms. Miley simply picked up the knickers and stuffed them into her mouth. No word on whether the thong was returned to its owner after the show.

If you're sick and tired of hearing the song Royals by breakout star Lorde, you aren't the only one. The New Zealand pop star says she wants the track pulled from radio airplay because she's concerned fans will grow weary of her music. "I want to let people stop hearing Lorde on the radio all the time, because it's kind of crazy at the moment," said the 17-year-old singer in an interview with V Magazine. Royals was released as a single last October and is the standout track on Lorde's debut album, Pure Heroine.

When you're one of the most powerful men on the planet, you don't need to subscribe to HBO in order to watch Game of Thrones and True Detective. Sources claim that U.S. president Barack Obama approached HBO CEO Richard Plepler at last week's state dinner for French president Francois Hollande and requested advance screeners for the well-received drama series. According to The New York Times, Obama told Plepler that he wanted the programs "to watch over the holiday weekend" (Monday being President's Day in the U.S.). The American president also reconfirmed his admiration of the Netflix political drama House of Cards, as evidenced in his recent tweet: "Tomorrow: House of Cards. No spoilers, please."

Actor Kevin Spacey may affect a South Carolina drawl as the political slickster Francis Underwood on House of Cards, but he's just as comfortable with an Arkansas accent. During a recent appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, the Oscar-winning actor delivered his impressive impersonation of former U.S. president Bill Clinton to the delight of the studio audience. Spacey employed the Clinton voice to relate a story about going to a Starbucks with the ex-president, who ordered a basic decaffeinated coffee to the actor's chagrin. "I think if you're going to go to Starbucks, get like a frappuccino or something," said Spacey.

Music mainstay David Crosby has undergone heart surgery and has postponed his sold-out tour of California. Best known for his role in the seventies super-group Crosby, Stills & Nash, the 72-year-old musician had a cardiac catheterization last week to correct a blocked coronary artery, according to his publicist. Crosby is expected to make a full recovery but the surgery has necessitated that the concerts he planned for San Francisco and West Hollywood this month be rescheduled for April. Crosby will also rejoin his former bandmates Graham Nash and Steven Stills on a CSN reunion tour that begins in Richmond, Va., on March 4.

The state in northwestern Mexico has officially banned 61 baby names toward the cause of preventing bullying in the future. The list of banned names includes tech-inspired monikers like Facebook, Twitter and Yahoo and fictional literary characters including Harry Potter and James Bond. Also on the no-name list: Virgin, Email, Rolling Stone and, remarkably, Hitler.
