SECOND CHANCE?

How I Met Your Mother fans unhappy with the show's recent series finale just won't let it go. Some viewers have launched a petition on the website Change.org demanding that HIMYM co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas rewrite and reshoot the finale. The petition page starts: "You know it's just wrong." As of Thursday, the petition had more than 7,800 signatures. Despite polarizing fans, the HIMYM finale drew nearly 13 million U.S. viewers on Monday night.

SAY CHEESE

Think of three celebrities most unlikely to appear in a selfie together and you may come up with the names David Letterman, Bill Murray and Lady Gaga. At Murray's suggestion, the disparate trio snapped the picture together on Wednesday night's episode of The Late Show with David Letterman. Following the impromptu photo session, Gaga escorted Murray, Letterman and the entire Late Show audience down the street to the Roseland Ballroom, where she performed two songs from her recent ARTPOP album.

FORD SUPPORTER

Seth Rogen thinks Rob Ford is doing a terrific job as mayor and gives all the credit to crack cocaine. The Canadian comic actor happily weighed in on the Toronto mayor during his guest turn on the late-night talker Conan this week. Said Rogen: "What's weird is you go to Toronto and it's a really beautiful city that is very well run, a lot better than a lot of non-mayor-crack-smoking cities I've been to in my life." He didn't stop there: "You don't associate crack with laziness at all," he said. "You don't sleep much, you don't eat much, you get a lot done. You're a busy body on crack."

BUSTED ACTOR

James Franco's attempt to pick up a teenaged girl via Instagram has been exposed to the world. The story so far: A 17-year-old Scottish female visiting New York took an Instagram video of James standing outside his current Broadway show Of Mice and Men; Franco himself requested the teen tag him, and when she did, the actor responded by sending her a selfie. The 35-year-old Franco allegedly tried to woo the teenager by Instagram and text, which concluded with him asking her whether they should get a hotel room. The girl responded with: "I'll come back when I'm 18." Franco jokingly responded on Twitter saying, "I hope parents keep their teens away from me. Thank you." Franco also modified his Instagram account description to include the disclaimer, PLEASE DON'T DM ME IF YOU ARE UNDER 18. THANK YOU.

TOO HOT FOR TV

Just because supermodel Bar Refaeli was born in Israel doesn't mean they want to watch her cavorting with a puppet. The ex-girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio is catching heat for her new TV ad for the clothing brand Hoodies, in which she gets physical with a famous Israeli puppet named Red Orbach. Israeli TV censors have forbidden the broadcast of the 54-second ad showing an obviously naked Refaeli and the puppet in bed together before 10 p.m., saying the spot contains "too many sexual insinuations." In the same spot, Refaeli is shown playing strip poker and seductively washing a sports car.

A STAR IS BORN

Canadian classical piano prodigy Daniel Clarke Bouchard has been invited to perform live on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The 14-year-old pianist's scheduled appearance next Tuesday follows his recent string of high-profile performances on Canadian TV programs, including Canada AM and George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight. Bouchard gave his first classical recital at 6 and won the grand prize at McGill University's Joy of Music Festival for three straight years. "One of my goals is to present classical music to other kids my age," Bouchard told The Montreal Gazette last year. "I've noticed a lot more young people at my concerts, which has been really cool."
