HAT CHECK

Remember that enormous cowboy hat worn by Pharrell Williams at last month's Grammys? Now it can be yours. The singer/producer has put the big brown chapeau up for auction on eBay, with the proceeds going to From One Hand to Another, the charity started by the musician to assist disadvantaged youth. But the hat won't come cheap: The top offer has already reached $10,500 (U.S.) with bidding scheduled to continue to March 2. Williams himself launched the auction by tweeting: "Hey Arbys, you want my hat? Now's your chance," referring to the fast-food chain's tweet on Grammy night asking the star for its hat back.

LEGAL BRIEFS

Mel Gibson's ex Oksana Grigorieva has filed for bankruptcy less than four years after turning down a $15-million (U.S.) child-custody offer from the actor. TMZ claims to have seen the legal documents in which Grigorieva says she has only $10 to her name. Grigorieva, who is mother to Gibson's four-year-old daughter Lucia, claims she has $48,000 in assets and $438,000 in debts and has received only $200 in music royalties in the past six months. During her custody battle with Gibson, Grigorieva hired and fired more than 40 lawyers and eventually received a $750,000 payout from the actor. The documents claim that Grigorieva currently receives $20,000 a month in child support for Lucia, along with $2,500 a month she receives from former James Bond star Timothy Dalton, with whom she has a teen son named Alexander.
