The promise

Because bottom lashes are like the abs of the eye area, Clinique has created a product specifically formulated to give those teeny, hard-to-reach lashes definition and flirty sex appeal.

How it works

Using a micro-mini brush among the smallest on the market, Bottom Lash Mascara's precision applicator deftly defines bottom lashes with a long-wearing formula that's flake-resistant and smudge- and waterproof. Bentonite, a key ingredient with a stretchable, clay-like consistency, coats lashes naturally and evenly, while jojoba oil conditions them.

How to use it

Wiggle the tip of the wand vertically through those stubborn, short bottom lashes, then brush through horizontally for an even application. To remove, soak a cotton pad with warm water and gently press on the lashes to loosen the mascara.

The bottom line

Bottom lashes? Really? I only recently wrapped my brain around the concept of using an eyelash curler to make the top ones more noticeable - and now I'm expected to fret about the bottom ones? The whole thing reeked of time and money suckage - things I resent because, as a freelance writer, I like to accumulate both time and money in as much abundance as I can. Until I used it, that is. Who knew that one little wand could make such a huge difference? Emphasizing those bottom lashes really made my eyes pop and helps me achieve that doe-eyed disco-diva look all the celebs at Paris Fashion Week told me is so in this season. Well, they didn't tell me tell me. But, you know.
