OPI Glitter Off
The promise This peelable base coat has been developed to take off hard-to-remove polish (like dark colours and glitter) in mere moments without damaging nails, protecting them from discolouration and the harsh effects of acetone remover.
How it works The water-based formula, which is free of toxins toluene and formaldehyde, hardens on the nail, making it easy to peel off. OPI's exclusive ProWide brush allows for easy and precise application.
How to use it Brush a thin layer onto clean nails and allow it to dry. Apply as many coats of polish on top as desired. To remove, use a cuticle stick to gently push the polish away from the nail and peel it off.
The bottom line I remember how much fun peel-off nail polishes were to play with when they first hit the market in the nineties, so this product is de facto fun for me. More than that, it's also kind of genius. I'm not really one for nail-art experimentation, but sometimes I like to get a little wild and paint one or two nails on each hand with a glitter polish. (Yes, this is how I "get wild" these days. I'm old; I don't want to talk about it.) But as anyone who has toyed with glitter polish can attest, it is a bear to get off with standard-issue nailpolish remover. This product does exactly what it says, peeling off nails with just the tiniest nudge of an orange stick. (Word to the wise, let it dry before applying polish on top or it'll make the colour streaky.) Best of all, it allows me to be footloose and fancy-free with the glitters or colours I choose since removal is a breeze and my natural nails won't suffer a thing. Thanks for letting this aging gal feel young and wild again, OPI.
