L'Occitane shea butter hand cream

For more than 20 years, French beauty brand L'Occitane has had a relationship with women who make shea butter in Burkina Faso, a landlocked country in West Africa, by purchasing the raw material at a fair price. Today, there are roughly 12,000 women producing shea butter in the region, and enjoying economic independence because of the partnership. Inspired by the success, along with Africa's lush traditions and landscapes, the brand's latest limited-edition collection – comprising lip balm, hand cream and body lotion, all made with shea butter – features playful prints inspired by Bogolan fabrics, traditional mud-stained cloth whose patterns are villagespecific – a smooth move for beauty buffs who care where their products come from.
