What you need from fashion week in New York is a statement sweater (or five)

You probably can’t wait to pack away your sweaters for the spring but New York’s designers are already thinking up novel ways to get you back into knits next fall. Here are some standout jumpers from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York.

Rag & Bone’s irregular knits stood out thanks to their Cosby-sweater-gone-cool look. The motif was subtle as a crew neck in muted browns but best as a sweater dress in black and white.

Tommy Hilfiger hammered home his collection’s après-ski theme by staging his show on an elaborate set that included a chairlift and a chalet. He also updated Nordic-style knits with fringe details on the body and sleeves.
